noun \vwä-ˈyər\
>a person who gets sexual pleasure from secretly watching other people have sex
>a person who likes seeing and talking or writing about something that is considered to be private
Voyeurism is the sexual interest in watching people (usually without their knowledge) engaged in very intimate behaviours. They key characteristic of voyeurism is that the voyeur does not directly interact with the subject of his or her interest. This may involve taking photos or videos of the subject without his/her knowledge, as well as observing them. Voyeurs aren’t stalkers. However, if the interest in a particular subject becomes obsessive, voyeurism may evolve into stalking.
